American Legion Post #43

American Legion Post #43 Frank Holcome Post 43 is a part of the American Legion District 1 and is a very active organization

Legion member meetings are held the 3rd Monday of every month at 8pm. The Legion celebrates the Legion birthday early each year with their traditional oyster stew supper in January. The Honor Guard is always available for funerals and to present the colors at football games and various school activities. In addition, the spacious and modern Legion hall is a popular area venue for wedding receptions, dances, birthdays and anniversaries.

This Saturday, September 20th there will be a dedication for the bridge just south of town. Ceremony is at 10:00 o’clock, everyone is welcome. It is in honor of Frank Holcomb.

Due to not having a flag pole put up at the Turner County Fair this year, there will not be a flag ceremony this week.
