Thanks for joining us last night for our Voices of the Stars event! ✨💫
The clouds had moved in right before but they moved on quickly (after a 10 minute rain break 😅). Everyone was a trooper through the night! We were able to observe Scorpius and the Big Dipper with our eye and see M13 through the telescope 🔭

Stay posted for more upcoming events at Fort Boggy State Park! 🌳

What do we have here? 🔍

Poison ivy and Virginia creeper often grow together! This is a classic example of how easily it can be overlooked.
• Poison ivy will have three leaflets versus five.
• Virginia creeper will have small greenish flowers and blue berries in spring instead of the small white flowers of Poison ivy.
• The vines of Poison ivy are often fuzzy or hairy while Virginia creeper vines are smoother and use adhesive discs to stay attached!

Remember: “Leaves of three, let it be.”
Avoid coming into contact with unknown vines and stay on trail!
