On yesterday, personnel from all Houston County first responders were celebrated by the Sacred Hearts Assembly 179. Each agency nominated an employee as Employee of the Year. This year, Officer Tavyonne Dallis King was selected from the Centerville Police Department.

Officer Dallis King has had a good year this year. She has achieved her Masters Degree, she was recently married, and now, she has achieved the Officer of the Year reward. Thank you Officer King for all you do for the citizens of Centerville, Georgia

⚡🏠 AVOID OVERLOADED OUTLETS & EXTENSION CORDS 🏠⚡

Many home electrical fires can be prevented by using outlets, power strips, and extension cords properly.

Avoid These Dangerous Practices:

Today, the department prepared a lunch to celebrate the graduation of Officer Tavyonne King. Officer King will be graduating from Albany State University on Saturday with her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice, with a concentration in Law Enforcement.

They may not be physically with us on every call, but they are always there. Today we would like to salute each and every dispatcher as we celebrate Communications Week 2026.

Their voices are the first voice we hear and the last as we leave calls. They are our light at the end of the tunnel.
