Centerville High School football will face Springfield at 7 pm on Friday, September 18. Wear your red, white, and blue as we celebrate this month's America 250-Ohio theme — Ohio Plays: Sports & Recreation! Be sure to stop by the Washington Township and City of Centerville, Ohio-Government tent starting at 6 pm to be one of the first 1,500 fans to grab an EPND America 250 rally towel.

The Centerville Sunday Series, presented by St. Leonard CHI Living Communities, is back for a brand-new season beginning this Sunday (September 20)!

kicks off the series with a must-see a ca****la performance featuring songs from Hall & Oates, The Jackson Five, Taylor Swift and more!

No tickets are needed; seating is limited to 1,600 guests and doors open at 6:00 p.m.

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Sinclair Centerville Theater at 5800 Clyo Road.

Concessions, beer and wine will be available for purchase to enjoy during the show!

Join the City of Centerville and the Centerville Arts Commission for music and fun throughout the year.

Heroes were in the right place at the right time. The Centerville Ohio Police Department presented Lifesaving Awards to Officers Elders, Switzer and Trent and two citizens who saved a man's life this summer.

Lance and Colleen were dining at Meridien Uptown when an employee suffered a medical emergency. They called 911 and jumped in to help, performing CPR. Centerville officers took over quickly, thanks to their Live911 system that allows officers to hear incoming 911 calls from their cruisers.

Starting Monday, contractors will apply Reclamite to recently-paved streets in the Yankee Trace neighborhood as part of the City’s 2026 Resurfacing Program. The treatment helps extend the life of the asphalt and protect our investment in new pavement. Work is expected to take about two days, weather permitting.

Hefty is ending its ReNew recycling program nationwide. As a result, the City of Centerville will stop collecting the orange ReNew bags at the end of 2026. The City of Centerville will continue to collect the items identified on the top of your recycling container, on our City website or on any City of Centerville-logoed mailings you receive. centervilleohio.gov/heftyrenew

We are to a great community, where we celebrated all summer long! As the unofficial end to summer arrives today, Newcomer Funeral Home wanted to make sure we never forget those memories. Join us as we fill the America-250 Ohio time capsule.

The time capsule will be kept at Washington Township's Countryside Park. It will be opened sometime in the coming decades.

Our municipal offices are closed today for Labor Day, but public safety never takes a day off. Every day, we are grateful for the men and women of the Centerville Ohio Police Department and Washington Township Fire Department who continue serving our community around the clock.
