ARKANSAS TRI‑REGION E‑BIKE VOUCHER PROGRAM – REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 6, 2026



The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission (NWARPC), in coordination with Metroplan and the City of Fort Smith, provides notice of the establishment of the Arkansas Tri‑Region E‑Bike Voucher Program, funded through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Pollution Reduction Grant with administrative support from APTIM.



The program will provide vouchers ranging from $700 to $1,200 to assist eligible residents with the purchase of electric bicycles. The initiative is designed to support more than 5,800 participants across the Fayetteville‑Springdale‑Rogers, Little Rock‑North Little Rock‑Conway, and Fort Smith metropolitan regions.



Eligibility

Residents of the following counties are eligible to apply:
Arkansas: Benton, Crawford, Faulkner, Franklin, Grant, Lonoke, Madison, Perry, Pulaski, Saline, Sebastian, Washington
Oklahoma: Le Flore, Sequoyah



Registration and Selection Process

The program will provide vouchers to applicants in Northwest Arkansas, Central Arkansas and the Fort Smith region through a randomized selection process. Selected applicants can redeem their vouchers at participating bike shops at the time of purchase.



The application portal opens July 6, 2026, at 9 a.m. CDT and will remain open for the duration of the program. During the initial registration applicants will not need to provide documents to prove eligibility. The first selection will take place on July 21, 2026. Applicants who are selected will be contacted by email with a link to complete the full application, which will include submitting documented proof of residency, income qualifications, and other details. Additional randomized selections will be announced at a later date, with the program continuing into next year.

Good Morning,

I wanted to take a moment to share several upcoming events happening in Centerton over the next few weeks.

Tonight, you’re invited to the Aloha to Summer Community Market at Centerton City Park, located at 290 N. Main Street, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There will be a variety of activities, vendors, and family-friendly fun. We hope you can join us for a great evening in our community.

Saturday Morning, I invite you to attend my monthly Coffee with the Mayor at 9:00 AM in the Community Room at 290 N. Main Street. This is an opportunity to hear about the great things happening in Centerton, ask questions, and share your thoughts. We will also be discussing the Downtown Plan and gathering public input. With local elections approaching, several candidates for office plan to attend and would welcome the opportunity to meet residents and answer questions.

The Centerton Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, June 17, at Midwest Flex Space, located at 1814 E. Centerton Boulevard, behind Diamond Car Wash and Jiffy L**e.

Watercolors of Centerton, located at 1709 E. Centerton Boulevard, invites everyone to their Farmers Market on Thursday, June 18, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Then, beginning June 22, be sure to participate in the Centerton Public Works Duck Hunt. Please see the attached flyer for additional details and instructions.

There are so many wonderful things happening throughout our community, and I hope you’ll take the opportunity to join in and support these local events.

☕️ Coffee with the Mayor – This Saturday! ☕️

Join us this Saturday, June 13, at 9:00 AM in the Centerton Community Room (290 N. Main Street) for Coffee with the Mayor.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee, ask questions, share ideas, and have an open conversation about our community and the future of Centerton.

We will also be hosting a public input session on the Downtown Centerton Plan, giving residents a chance to provide feedback and help shape the vision for our downtown area. Your input is important as we continue planning for growth and development in our community.

In addition, several candidates for local office are expected to attend. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet them, hear their thoughts on issues facing Centerton, and ask questions as you prepare for upcoming elections.

We encourage everyone to attend, get involved, and be part of the conversation.
