The Centereach Civic Association and Selden Civic Association invite all residents to attend our upcoming Joint Civic Meeting on Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 PM at the Centereach Firehouse, 9 S. Washington Avenue, Centereach.

🎤 Guest Speakers:
✅ Barbara Russell – Town of Brookhaven Historian
✅ Liz Scott – Middle Country Business Advisory Board, who will be discussing the many outstanding programs available within our schools.

This is a great opportunity to stay informed, meet your neighbors, and learn more about what's happening in our community.

⭐ Please note: This will be our last civic meeting until September, so we encourage everyone to come out and join us before our summer break!

On Sunday, May 17th the Centereach Fire Department held our monthly Department Firematic Drill. Members of the Centereach Fire Department as well as the Centereach Fire Department Juniors practiced forcible entry, entry through a window from ladders, and search & rescue. Firefighters used a set of Irons (an axe & Haligan) to force entry on the training door then performed search & Rescue. Firefighters also entered the second floor from the Tower Ladder. The next scenario everything was put together with the addition of simulated smoke forcing entry on the first floor performing search & rescue and exiting the 2nd floor from the ladder. Thank you to the Chiefs and Department training staff for putting together this months drill.
