I have found the absolute pinnacle of Baldwin's piano manufacturing available for sale at a church in Lancaster County, the massive 9' SD-10 concert grand.

If I could get it into my studio, I could create the crown jewel of my sampled Baldwin collection.

As my other instruments, it would be created for use with the UVI Falcon / Workstation sampling software, plugins that can use virtually ALL DAW apps - and can be used as standalones for performance, too.

The studio is has been retired, for most (but not all) intents and purposes. I intend to keep using it for myself and my own creations, whether the http://wholesounds.com virtual instruments, or some of my own music, which I've been threatening to produce since, oh, 1978 or so.

OK, here's a pretty complete list of all the bands/artists who've recorded here since the early part of the century. 376 bands logged!

Most of the material is easily accessible on still-working hard drives, but some is only available via Seagate DDS3 backup tapes. My old DDS3 tape drive is pretty iffy, but if need be, I'll invest in a replacement so we can access the old data.

So, if you want your stuff, let me know!

Check it out - I am creating a sample library from my Baldwin grand piano to create a "virtual instrument" other musicians can use in their studios.

I will miss my old friend Hamish! He has been with me through thick and thin since 1998. Today was his last day here on this earth. He's frolicking now wherever dogs frolic after they're done with us here, which is a good thing, because he hasn't frolicked much these past few months.

Nor has he barked for quite a while, but in his day his voice was immortalized on many a recording at the studio, mostly inadvertently as a dim bark somewhere in the mix behind a vocal or piano track. Any mike left open was liable to catch of bit of Hamey.

He was a good dog, maybe the best ever. (Like everyone's dog!!)

Again, I will miss him.
