Papillon is one of the many red foxes that we were able to rescue from the fur and urine farm in Ashtabula, Ohio last year. While she came from some of the worst conditions our staff has ever seen , she is absolutely thriving here at the center now.

Papillon means "butterfly" in French. Miss Papillon shares the name "Butterfly" with fur farm foxes Schmetterling, Vlinder, Farfalla and Mariposa. We love these names because of the huge transformation we have been able to watch as these foxes have become healthy and comfortable. It has been like watching a butterfly spread its wings after emerging from a cocoon!

More information on this rescue can be found at https://www.efrc.org/ohio . Viewer discretion is advised.

Jinx, the caracal. Caracals are known for the long tips of fur on the end of their ears. They’re nicknamed the “desert lynx” because they resemble lynx ear tufts, but caracals are not lynx. Bobcats, Eurasian lynx, Canada lynx and Iberian lynx are all lynx. Caracals share habitat with Servals in Africa.
