Donors to the Great Lengths for the High Line campaign raised $33 million in private funds, unlocking much more in public funds. This investment is helping advance trail improvements across the High Line Canal designed to enhance access, connectivity, environmental health and community spaces along the Canal's 71-mile corridor.

A significant milestone: Four major projects have recently moved from planning into implementation, with completion anticipated in 2027. Spanning from Origin Trailhead in the south to Green Valley Ranch in the northeast, these projects will create new opportunities for people to access the trail, gather with neighbors and experience this unique linear park.

These four projects represent just a portion of the ongoing work to enhance and care for the Canal, made possible through community investment and collaboration with our local jurisdictional agency partners and grantors.

Want to put your accounting and organizational skills to work for a mission that matters? The High Line Canal Conservancy is looking for an Accounting and Systems Coordinator to help keep our financial and operational systems running smoothly.

This role features a flexible hybrid schedule, generous PTO and retirement benefits and a rate of $25-$30 per hour at 25 hours per week.

You’ll help support the behind-the-scenes work that makes it possible to care for the 71-mile High Line Canal and connect communities with this incredible regional resource.

What moves you to meander your favorite local trail? 🌿

Maybe it’s the health benefits, the chance to connect with nature or the joy of spending time outdoors. Whatever brings you to the trail, there’s meaning in every step, and we’re celebrating it all at the Aurora Unity Walk and Roll on November 14 at 8:30 a.m.

Join the Canal Community at the Community College of Aurora CentreTech campus for a morning of connection, coffee and bagels and a walk or roll along a 2-mile loop of the High Line Canal Trail. There, you'll enjoy meeting your neighbors, connecting with the Northeast Community Advisory Committee and celebrating the many ways the Canal brings us together.

What a wonderful weekend in Green Valley Ranch! 🎃

Thank you to the hundreds of neighbors who joined us at the Green Valley Ranch Fall Festival to celebrate the High Line Canal! From meeting local organizations and leaders to learning about upcoming trail enhancements, decorating pumpkins and enjoying family-friendly activities, there was something for everyone.

2026 has been a year of meaningful progress along the High Line Canal, with six improvement projects completed and the Conservancy’s Stormwater Transition and Management Plan finalized.

More than 20 additional trail improvement projects are advancing along the 71-mile corridor, improving trail access, strengthening connections to regional infrastructure, supporting environmental health and creating more opportunities for trail users to rest, gather and engage with the Canal.

This progress is made possible by the leadership of dedicated trail stewards, our jurisdictional partners and supporters of the Great Lengths for the High Line campaign. Together, these investments are helping shape a more accessible, connected and resilient Canal for generations to come.

Earlier this month, we released our Fall Progress Report, featuring recent project milestones and updates on improvements in planning, design and implementation across the corridor.

A new way to cross, and one less traffic encounter! 🚲 The Yale Avenue and Holly Street Underpass officially opened this past weekend, giving High Line Canal Trail users a safer way to navigate one of the Canal’s busiest roadway crossings.

The Canal crosses Yale Avenue four times, making safe connections especially important. This is one of four underpass infrastructure projects that reflect six years of strong collaboration between the City and County of Denver Government and Arapahoe County Government to improve trail crossings. Together, these projects represent more than $30 million in investment, with federal funding and matching grants helping make this work possible.

A huge thank-you to both jurisdictions for helping make the Canal safer and more accessible for everyone who enjoys it. 🌿
