The CONG YAC Application is Open!

The Youth Advisory Council is accepting new members for the 2026–27 program year — and we want your teen in the room.

As a YAC member, your teen will:

GROW — build real leadership and life skills through workshops, trainings, and hands-on experiences
GIVE — plan and lead community service projects that make a meaningful difference
SPEAK — advocate for Guard youth at the state and potentially national level
CONNECT — build lasting friendships with Guard teens across Colorado

Application deadline: October 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Here is an exciting opportunity from an ARNG CYS community partner for your consideration.

Designed specifically for high school students, the program introduces participants to the foundations of quantum computing while helping them build knowledge and skills and explore the applications, challenges, and future of this transformative technology.

Through funding from DoWSTEM, we’re offering free enrollment for students in U.S. military-connected families.

Applications are now open for a 2026 Fall course through Frontier Technology Institute, Foundations of Quantum Computing, for high school students.

Eligibility: Incoming 9th-12th graders
Where: Virtual via Zoom
Dates: Sept. 27 - Dec. 12, 2026
Weekly Schedule: 1-hour asynchronous lecture / 1-hour live lab

The course is also accredited by WASC and approved as a college prep course by the UC A-G System,

Teens: The mission begins with you! The Youth Advisory Council gives you a voice, leadership training, and opportunities to create change for military-connected youth.

Eligibility requirements: 13-18 years old. Army or Air Guard youth. Willing to commit to come to a minimum %50 of scheduled programming. Complete application with one adult reference. Eligible for leadership roles after one year of active membership!
