Giving Back in Recovery

Our residents at Mercer County House of Hope have been busy putting recovery into action! ❤️

Several of our residents are headed to Athens, Ohio, to serve with Good Works, where they’ll be spending a few days helping others and giving back to the community. We also have residents attending Hope Fest in Jay County tomorrow.

Service and giving back are such an important part of recovery. It’s about more than simply staying sober—it’s about rebuilding your life, finding purpose, serving others, and becoming part of something bigger than yourself.

We are so incredibly blessed to have residents who are willing to show up, work hard, and give back. And we are even more blessed to live in communities that support recovery and give our residents opportunities to be involved.

This is what recovery looks like. ❤️

A special thank you to the Mercer County Fair Board for all of their hard work this past week! We truly appreciate everything you do to make the fair such an amazing event. ❤️
And another very special thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, enjoyed some fellowship, and grabbed lots of popcorn and popsicles! 🍿🍧 Your support means more than you know.
We have drawn the winners of the cross, and we will be contacting the winners to make arrangements for pickup. ✝️

An Amazing First Day at the Fair ❤️

Several of our residents had an absolutely amazing first day at the Mercer County Fair! They handed out popcorn, shared stories, laughed with people in our community, and even shared a few emotional moments.

What made the day so special was simply being out in the community and allowing people to see what the Mercer County House of Hope is truly about. These men and women are more than their past. They do recover. They just need support, encouragement, and someone willing to believe in them.

We are so incredibly blessed to live in such an amazing and supportive community. ❤️

You still have plenty of time to come out and see us at the Mercer County Fair! We only have day one in the books, and there is still plenty of popcorn to share! 🍿

What a fun, faith-filled, and busy weekend for our residents at Mercer County House of Hope!

We were honored to participate in the Celina Lake Festival Parade, where one resident shared how incredible it felt to see the community cheering, clapping, and supporting them along the parade route. Moments like that remind our residents that recovery is possible and that they are valued by the community around them.

After the parade, we celebrated one of our residents' birthdays with delicious pizza from Celina W**e Store.

Today, we continued the weekend by attending Church at the Lake, followed by giving back through community service by helping with games after the service.

This weekend was a beautiful reminder that our community truly supports those in recovery. The love, encouragement, and opportunities our residents receive are blessings that help restore hope and remind them they are never alone on their recovery journey.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in and support recovery. Your kindness makes a lasting difference.
