📣🚔 Calling all community champions! 🚨 We're thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the Citizens Police Academy (CPA) class #6! 🎉

The Celina Police Department is excited to continue fostering stronger ties and building better relationships with our wonderful community through this comprehensive program. Over the course of nine weeks, spanning from September 7th to November 9th, 2023, we will delve into 11 class days covering a wide range of fascinating topics, including criminal law, patrol tactics, and criminal investigations. Plus, participants will get an exclusive opportunity to visit the local Detention Center in Collin County! 🏢

Not only is the CPA designed to be informative and engaging, but it also offers you the chance to become a true ambassador for the Celina Police Department within your own communities. We believe that together, we can create a safer and more united Celina! 💪

Here are the key details you need to know:

📅 Program Start Date: Thursday, September 7th, 2023
⏰ Time: 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, every Thursday (with two Saturday sessions on October 14th and November 4th, 2023, from 9 am to 1 pm)
📍 Location: Various locations across the City of Celina (subject to change based on department needs)

👥 Eligibility: Citizens of Celina (residing in the city or county) or employed within city limits, aged 18 years or older. Spaces are limited, so don't miss your chance to apply!

We have another Winter Storm Watch starting Monday at noon through 9 am on Wednesday. This storm can produce icy road conditions due to freezing rain. Please restrict your travels if possible. If you must travel during this time frame, slow down and give yourself an efficient amount of room between other vehicles on the roadway. Remember that bridges and overpasses will be first to accumulate ice and the last to de-ice. Stay safe, Celina.

5+ years of full-time experience starts at step 3 ($71,080)

An intermediate license pays $60/per month
