The purpose of the public hearing is to review and act on a Variance to Cedarville Township Zoning Resolution Section 507.1 and 507.2, which require no building in the minimum front yard setback and no building in front of the main dwelling. The subject property is owned by R Andrew & Joy M Kitzmiller and is located at 3315 US 42 E. The property has 2.72 acres in the RS Single Family Residential District. Parcel ID D08000100170002600.

The Cedarville Township Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will hold a public hearing at the Township Office located at 13 S Main Street, Cedarville on June 4, 2025, at 7:00 pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to review and act on an Appeal of the Zoning
Inspector Decision by Thomas and Mattie Stock, owner. The appeal applies to the ZI denial of an agriculture exemption for an accessory structure. The subject property is located at 4089 Townsley Road, and has 2.97 acres. Parcel ID D08000100120007600.

What’s going on at the Opera House?

You may have noticed that there is a fence around the Opera House which served as the Cedarville Township office since 1889. The Ohio Biennial Capital Budget for 2025-2027 included funds to renovate the Cedarville Opera House, as well as the Clifton Opera House, and the Old Clifton School. These renovation projects are under the direction of the Ohio Governor’s Office, and managed by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The beginning of this project was the reason for the move to our new office space and will also require the relocation of our Road Department to a new location as well. The Opera House Renovation will include making the facility more accessible by adding elevators, restrooms, and allowing for more flexibility in its usage by the Cedarville Community. We plan to provide more updates on the plans for the project, and progress of the construction as details become available.
