ATTENDANCE LEADERS!

Congratulations to Mrs. Dabbs’ 4th Grade Homeroom for having the highest attendance at Cherokee for August with an incredible 99.7%! They earned the Attendance Trophy, brag tags, and 15 extra minutes of recess each week for the next month!

Grade Level Leader: 5th Grade - 98.4%
Overall School Attendance: 96.9%

Every day matters! Missing just 2 days each month adds up to missing about 10% of the school year - that’s missing 1 out of every 10 school days! When students miss school, they miss valuable instruction and opportunities to learn and grow.

Help us set every Bulldog up for SWEET SUCCESS by being present and on time every day possible!

🌱🌸 Growing Great Things at CES! 🌸🌱

Our Garden Club had its first meeting of the year today, and we’re so excited to see what this group will grow together! 🪴💚

From learning and working together to getting our hands a little dirty, these Bulldogs are ready for a year full of planting, growing, and making our school a little more beautiful! 🌼🌿

We can’t wait to watch our Garden Club—and our gardeners—bloom this year! 🌻❤️🖤

❤️ FCA at Cherokee! ❤️

We were excited to kick off our new FCA program at CES today! We enjoyed singing with students from Shorter University, hearing an encouraging lesson from Pastor Kinsey, and connecting with one another in small groups.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make our first FCA gathering a great one! We’re especially grateful to Mr. Lanier for all his planning and organization to get this program started. We’re looking forward to a wonderful year with FCA at Cherokee!

Next meeting is schedule for Oct. 7th from 3:00-4:00.
