Cedar Springs Middle Level Schools are our 6th-8th grades. Red Hawk Intermediate is our 6th-grade building and is located at 204 E. Muskegon, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. We uphold a core curriculum that meets or exceeds state and national standards and provides a full complement of extracurricular, athletics, and fine arts programs. The middle school strives for excellence through continual evaluation, feedback, and revision of programs and processes. One of our guiding principles is that we will develop all students to become educated, self-confident, responsible citizens in a changing world. We want all children to develop to their full and wonderful potential.

Is your student interested in Middle School Athletics? Now is the time to get signed up for fall sports!
Create a FinalForms account, upload current sports physical, complete all athletic forms and pay any applicable pay to play fees.

7th/8th Girls Volleyball:
Tryout Dates: August 19, 20 and 21 in the MS Gym (plan to attend all 3 tryout dates)
7th Grade: 8 - 9:30 am each day
8th Grade: 10 - 11:30 am each day
Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, change shoes and get prepared.
Must have sports physical on file (dated after 4/15/26) in order to tryout. Team placements will be shared on Friday, Aug 21st.

6th/7th/8th Coed Cross Country:
Mandatory Parent Meeting and optional athlete run on Thursday, Aug 20th at 7 pm at the Middle School in the North Parking Lot
Optional runs on 8/24 at 11 am and 8/25 at 8:30 am at the MS.
Practice begins Wed 8/26. Athletes will take shuttle bus to the high school at the end of the day. Practice begins and ends at the high school and concludes at 4 pm.
Athletes must have sports physical on file (dated after 4/15/26) in order to begin practice.

7th/8th Coed Football:
Practice begins on Monday, August 17th at the Middle School practice field (by tennis courts) from 6 - 8 pm. Bring water bottle and tennis shoes. Once school begins, practices will be Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur - except on game days.
Athletes must have sports physical on file (dated after 4/15/26) in order to begin practice.
