Cedar Springs Middle Level Schools are our 6th-8th grades. Red Hawk Intermediate is our 6th-grade building and is located at 204 E. Muskegon, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. We uphold a core curriculum that meets or exceeds state and national standards and provides a full complement of extracurricular, athletics, and fine arts programs. The middle school strives for excellence through continual evaluation, feedback, and revision of programs and processes. One of our guiding principles is that we will develop all students to become educated, self-confident, responsible citizens in a changing world. We want all children to develop to their full and wonderful potential.

It is okay if kids do not have clubs or have never played, the coaches enjoy teaching the game of golf.

The 8th-grade STEM class had a great field trip last week!

Stop #1 was at the Kent County Recycling and Education Center to learn about the importance of recycling and how recycling is handled in Kent County.

Stop #2 was at Dave & Buster's to see Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion in action! Students investigated energy, forces, and motion through playing and analyzing different arcade games.

Any missing or broken items may be subject to a charge by technology.

🏃‍♂️ Sports Physicals tomorrow at Cedar Springs High School

Get ready for the 2026–27 school year! Cedar Springs High School will host sports physicals for all student-athletes.

📍 High School Gym
📅 Thursday, May 28
⏰ 6–8 p.m.
💲 $25 (pay on-site)
✅ No registration needed

All students planning to participate in athletics must have a current physical on file dated on or after April 15, 2026.

This is a simple way to get ready for the season ahead. We look forward to seeing our Red Hawks there!

Next week we will have items spread out on tables in front of the office as a last chance for students to pick up any lost items.

All unclaimed items will be donated on June 5th.

This Friday, May 29th is our last popcorn day of the school year! 50 cents a bag, cash only, on sale during all lunches!

REMINDER: If your student has any medications in our MS Health Office, please stop by to pick those up by June 4th.

We are not able to send any medication home with a student.

Any medications that are not picked up, will be disposed of per district policy on June 5th.

A huge thank you to the High School Science National Honor Society for hosting a science fair today for our middle school students! Our Middle Schoolers were able to learn about classes and clubs at the High School and experience some cool science things! Plus we loved the FFA animals!
