I’ve HAD ENOUGH.
For FAR too long, the left has incited violence—yes, I said it—violence against Trump supporters, conservatives, and Republicans. From radical activists in the streets to elected Democrats in Congress and state legislatures, the message has been loud and clear: "Attack, shame, silence, destroy." And now we’re supposed to just sit back while they pretend their hands are clean?

NO MORE.
You cannot keep stoking political hate, cheering on mobs, labeling half the country as “extremists,” and then act shocked when the temperature boils over. You caused this. Every time a Republican gets assaulted, doxxed, canceled, or demonized—it’s because of YOUR rhetoric, YOUR silence, and YOUR complicity.

If Democrats truly care about unity, they need to publicly apologize, admit their role in fueling this toxic division, and call for a REAL end to political violence on ALL sides.

Because people are standing up. And they’re not alone. We are DONE being silent and DONE letting the country we love be torn apart. This movement is growing, and once it’s fully awake—it will be UNSTOPPABLE.

Enough is enough. Stand up or step aside.

There are numerous vigils happening across this great state of Iowa in memory of Charlie Kirk — a man of deep faith, conviction, and courage. He stood for truth, for Christ, and for the values this country was built on. And now, as we grieve, the Left mocks. They post hateful, disgusting things, trying to stir more division, more violence, more chaos. It's despicable — and we’re right to feel angry.

But let’s remember who Charlie was. He didn’t answer hate with more hate. He answered it with strength, with purpose, and with unwavering faith. So no, we won’t go down the dark path they’re trying to drag us into. We won’t respond with the same vile behavior they celebrate.

But let me be clear: we are NOT backing down. Not now. Not ever. Our grief is real. Our pain is raw. And we will not forget this feeling.

We honor Charlie best not just by mourning — but by standing taller, speaking louder, and living with the same fire that burned in him. Let the world see that we remember. And we will never be silenced.

Dear Friends,

After months of reflection, countless conversations, weeks of funerals for Iowa veterans lost to su***de, and deep prayer, I’ve made one of the hardest decisions of my life. I will not be seeking to run to represent District 80 in 2026.

This is not a decision made lightly — and it’s not because I no longer want to serve. But I’ve come to realize that the fight I’ve been called to now requires me on a different front line.

Through the nonprofit I lead, I have been walking closely alongside veterans and their families. I’ve seen the pain, the gaps in support, and the tragic consequences when our heroes fall through the cracks. Over the last few months, the funerals have come too often, too close together. It’s clear to me that my purpose — at least for this next chapter — is to give my full focus to preventing these tragedies and expanding our outreach to those who feel left behind.

I still believe in Iowa, and I still believe in the power of public service. But for now, I know I can help more Iowans — especially those who’ve served us so selflessly — through the nonprofit work we’re doing.

To those who have supported me, voted for me, challenged me, and worked alongside me: thank you. From the bottom of my heart. This is not goodbye — it’s a redirection. And I hope you’ll walk with me on this new path, too.

Let’s keep serving, together.

With gratitude,
John Thompson

Today, I had the honor of joining my good friend Oliver Bardwell in advocating for common sense and the protection of women and children. I'm grateful that the legislature chose to listen to our calm and collected voices amidst the threats and angry protests. Today, Iowa took a significant step in the right direction by moving to remove gender identity from state code. We eagerly await the governor's signature to make this a reality! 💪

🚨 Disgraceful Alert 🚨 It's shocking to see so many Republicans pushing for amendments to kill the bill! With Iowa holding a super majority, why can't we get common-sense legislation passed? It's time to hold them accountable! I urge everyone to watch the votes closely. Let's primary every Republican who votes NO and elect real conservatives who truly represent our values! 🔥

UPDATE 2: Rep. Jennifer Smith has clarified!!

“The amendment came up quickly, and I was under the impression it was a clarification amemdment. However, after being able to fully read the impact of the amendment, I do not support it. I have been, and remain, a solid supporter of removing gender identity from the Iowa Civil Rights Code.”

UPDATE!!! Statement from Rep. Mike Vondran:

“After rereading the proposed amendment several times, I believe I was mislead in its presentation in terms of its fundamental change to the proposed legislation, which I had already pledged my vote.
I reaffirm my position as a proponent of the legislation, I will speak against the amendment and vote Aye on the bill as pledged.”

These 10 Republicans have filed an amendment to keep gender identity as a protected class in Iowa. Dave Sieck, Hans Wilz, Mike Vondran, Brian Lohse, Brett Barker, Jeennifer Smith, Shannon Lundgren, Megan Jones, Shannon Latham and Jane Bloomingdale.

The men are disappointing, yes. But two of them are consistent disappointments.

These five women however grew up enjoying civil rights protections as girls and didn't need to worry about showering next to a person with a p***s. They are DENYING that same right to little girls today by refusing to support HF 583 as is.

If they do not vote YES tomorrow on the bill as it is today, they do not deserve to be re-elected as Republicans.

Shannon Latham, Shannon Lundgren, Megan Jones, Jennifer Smith & Jane Bloomingdale.

At some point Republican voters have to decide when enough is enough. Some of those ladies have let you down many times through the years on big issues.

**Community Update**

It's time for some real talk, folks. We have a state representative in District 80 who isn’t truly working for the people. If you're okay with him pushing his recent bills, that’s frankly disappointing.

I'm committed to fighting for what matters most—protecting our children and our community's values.

Let’s be clear: Wichtendahl may support "they/them," but I’m here for YOU! Together, we can create positive change. 💪

Yesterday was a Great Day at the Iowa Capitol!

I am still full of excitement from the incredible energy and camaraderie we experienced at the Iowa Capitol yesterday as we rallied in support of women and children. Our mission was powerful and clear: to advocate for the removal of gender identity from the code, ensuring that all Iowans have equal rights and that no group holds more power or privilege over another.

As we gathered in the heart of our state’s government, it was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals come together for this vital cause. It’s crucial that we recognize that true equality means providing every individual with the same rights and opportunities, free from gender identity.

Engaging with lawmakers was a key part of our advocacy efforts. We took the time to express our concerns and voice our opinions with the severe opposition from protesters. The conversations we had were impactful, and I left feeling hopeful that change is on the horizon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in this important effort. Your commitment and passion are what drive movements forward.

🌟 Important Update on HSB242 🌟

Steve Holt, a dedicated member of the Iowa House of Representatives, has done an outstanding job explaining the ins and outs of HSB242. However, we need to be aware of the arguments presented by Wichtendahl, who claims that this legislation isn't about protecting women and children.

Let's be clear: incidents have occurred in locker rooms and bathrooms, and ignoring this reality puts our loved ones at risk. In the comments, I'll be sharing various articles that highlight these serious issues over the years.

It's crucial that we take action now to pass legislation that safeguards our wives, daughters, friends, and families. Together, we can ensure a safer environment for everyone. 💪
