Human trafficking can happen anywhere, and awareness is one of the strongest tools we have to help prevent it. Stay alert, trust your instincts, and look out for one another! A simple action or speaking up could help save a life. We encourage you to share this video created by New Jersey Senator Anthony Bucco, so we can continue to bring attention to this critical issue.

Hanover Township Fire Districts 2 & 3 had an amazing time meeting everyone at the Touch-A-Truck event this past weekend, showing off our apparatus, and giving the community a hands-on look at what we do.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for coming out, supporting us, and making the day so special.

Events like this remind us how lucky we are to serve such a supportive township!

“Anthony Shandra, a 20+ year member of the Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department and a dedicated Parsippany sanitation worker, was seriously injured while working on the back of a sanitation truck during his shift Tuesday morning.
He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. We are grateful to share that he is now in recovery, but the road ahead will not be easy. Anthony is facing a long recovery, along with medical expenses and time away from work that will impact him and his family.

Anyone who knows Anthony knows exactly the kind of person he is. He shows up, works hard, and is always there when others need him. Even after everything he has been through, he is still keeping his sense of humor and positive attitude.
Now it is our turn to be there for him.
We are asking our community to come together and support Anthony and his family during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden while he focuses on healing.

This is also an important reminder to slow down and give sanitation crews the space they need to work safely. What seems routine carries real risk every single day!“

This week, members of Local #109 from both Fire Districts, along with , took advantage of the nice weather to train on rope rescue and high-angle rescue operations. Rope rescues are often highly complex and technical in nature. While these incidents occur infrequently, they demand precision, coordination, and a high level of skill when they do occur. That’s why it’s imperative that our members continuously train and stay sharp in their skills.
We’re proud of the dedication our firefighters show in honing their craft, ensuring they’re ready to respond safely and effectively whenever the call comes.
We’re proud to serve the residents and visitors of Hanover Township.
