LOOP 9 TRANSPORTATION PROJECT IN 📍CEDAR HILL
TxDOT has officially begun construction on the US 67 and Lake Ridge Parkway interchange improvements, part of Segment A of the broader Loop 9 transportation project.
What’s coming? A new grade-separated interchange, an overpass at US 67, reconstructed main lanes and frontage roads, and other improvements designed to increase mobility, reduce congestion and improve connectivity and safety.
And this is just one piece of a much larger project. Loop 9, Segment A is a proposed approximately 9.4-mile, six-lane roadway through Dallas and Ellis counties, connecting Cedar Hill, Ovilla, Glenn Heights and Red Oak. The project is planned to strengthen regional accessibility, reduce travel times and support future economic development opportunities.
There’s a little Cedar Hill character built in, too. 🐦 Bird artwork will be incorporated along the walls of the interchange, a nod to our designation as a certified Bird City and Cedar Hill’s connection to the natural environment.
