Good evening, NIA Families and Staff!

After careful inspection of our campuses and in the interest of the continued safety of our students and employees, all Newman International Academy campuses will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Members of the NIA DPS Police Department physically inspected all Newman campuses today. While conditions have improved, campus grounds continue to pose safety hazards related to the recent severe weather event.

We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates regarding reopening as soon as it is safe to do so.

Dear Newman Families and Staff,

Newman International Academy will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 1/28/26, due to ongoing hazardous weather conditions.

Members of the NIA DPS Police Department physically inspected all Newman campuses and surrounding residential areas. Based on these on-site assessments, conditions on the campuses and in nearby neighborhoods continue to pose a significant risk to the health and safety of our students and staff.

This decision was made in consultation with state and county emergency management officials and is aligned with many other school districts across the DFW area.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates regarding school operations as additional information becomes available.

Dear NIA Families and Staff,

In the interest of student and staff safety, Newman International Academy will be closed on Monday due to a severe winter weather event impacting the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

This decision was made following close monitoring of weather forecasts and in consultation with state and regional emergency management officials. Current conditions are expected to create hazardous travel, including icy roads and unsafe temperatures, throughout the weekend and remaining through Monday, January 26, 2026.

There will be no on-campus instruction or activities on Monday. Guidance regarding classes and operations for Tuesday will be communicated as additional information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, families, and staff. Please continue to monitor official NIA communications for updates.
