Stop by the Youth Desk to register and fill out a friend match-making form to participate in our new Youth Pen Pals program. Your librarian friends will then work hard to match you up with your new pen-pal. Pen Pals will have the opportunity to send each other mail through the Library's Youth Desk until the end of December.

Registration will be open until the end of the day on Friday, September 4th unless all spots are filled beforehand. For ages 8-12, must be able to handwrite or type.

Teens are taking over! ..., that is. For the CF School noon dismissal day, teens are welcome to join Teen Librarian Megan and other teens at downtown coffee shop Cup of Joe for drinks, board games, and hanging out.

All teens will be provided one drink of choice (they have many non-caffeinated options) at no cost to them. Subsequent drinks or food purchases will be incurred at a personal cost.

Join us for a new, screens-free monthly program for kids ages 6-9! As kids navigate the everyday challenges of a screen-filled world, this program's themed, screen-free exploration stations help kids and grown-ups learn new activities to help reclaim real-world fun, friendships, and independence.

Each month will have new, themed exploration stations. After each program, kids can collect stamps for trying new, screen-free activities.

Stop by the Library's Parking Lot during the District Street Party tomorrow, August 29th for some animal fun with Havens Mobile Petting Farm! There will be lambs, goats, a donkey, a cow, a pig, chickens, geese, bunnies, and more!

Funded by the Marguerite Lybbert Memorial Fund for use by the Library.

Do you love plants as much as we do? Check out our Plant Propagation Station in the Co-Lab!

The Plant Propagation Station is a self-serve opportunity for CFPL patrons to gain firsthand experience with rooted houseplant cuttings.

Utilizing the Plant Propagation Station is easy as 1, 2, 3! Just follow the steps below.

1. Visit the 2nd floor reference desk for access to the Co-Lab.
2. Select your cutting. Wrap the root with a damp paper towel, and place the wrapped cutting in a resealable plastic bag. Take care to keep it sealed while you are in the library.
3. Follow some of our useful instructional handouts for care, or use your favorite CFPL plant books to learn how to plant and care for your new cutting.
(Please limit yourself to 2 plants per week)
