On Wednesday, September 16, the contractor will begin Phase 2 of the reconstruction of West 22nd Street from Merner Avenue to the UNI Book Store. A full road closure will be required. The road closure will be in effect for approximately 10 weeks, depending on the weather.

The planned work for this street includes removal of the existing pavement and driveway approaches, installation of new water main and storm, new concrete pavement and driveway approaches, and sod.

ℹ️ Rec Recharge builds on previous studies and an evaluation of the current Cedar Falls Rec Center located at 110 East 13th St. As our city continues to grow, we are exploring two potential paths forward: Renovating and expanding the existing Rec Center OR planning a new recreation facility.

Starting Tuesday, September 8, the City's Public Works Division will close a portion of the northbound lane of Rownd Street for scheduled maintenance work.

To allow the work to be completed safely and efficiently, please follow all construction signage. The work is expected to take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.
