Tonight with Board approval, construction of the final phase of Tiger Performance Center will begin. What began over a decade ago with planning and ex*****on of our new High School campus now has completion in sight with this approval.
A note to our community: this final phase was made possible with a grant as part of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, and Phase 1 was made possible by generous donors from our local community. No additional taxes were levied for this project.
This is something we all can and should be proud of.
The FINAL PHASE bid has been approved for the SCHEELS Tiger Performance Center by the Cedar Falls Community School District Board of Education on Friday, April 27, 2026.
The $3.268M bid by Peters Construction of Waterloo was accepted. The phase 2 final bid will include paint, HVAC, lightning, signs/graphics, overhead doors, accessories and flooring. We are incredibly grateful for the many donors who have supported this project and to the dedicated fundraising committee!
Construction will continue on the facility with anticipated opening in late 2026/early 2027!
