With more than 40 events over the last year, we are gearing up for an additional 13 days of celebration to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America!

Congratulations to Southwest Technical College on the ribbon cutting of their new Training and Advancement Center yesterday afternoon! The Southwest Tech Training and Advancement Center (STAC) is a brand new training field designed to help first responder, emergency personnel and public safety students prepare for high-pressure emergency situations.

The STAC includes the following prop scenarios to equip students with the experience and training necessary in first responders and emergency and public safety personnel:

♦️Live Fire response

♦️K-9 Search and Rescue

♦️ Technical rope rescue

♦️Community EMS response

♦️ Collapsed trench rescue

♦️ Tanker vs. car accident

♦️ Bus vs. van accident

♦️ Air ground coordination

The STAC is an important step forward in enhancing and 's emergency response workforce capacity and supporting economic development through a more robust pipeline for rural and urban areas.

A great afternoon spent at Southwest Technical College with Governor Spencer J. Cox, Senator John Curtis, Mayor Steve Nelson, and other important figures in , , , and the U.S, to celebrate American Tungsten & Antimony’s announcement of plans to develop a new antimony processing facility in .

The project is expected to generate 400 high-paying jobs, as well as investing over $287 million over the course of the next nine years. It is a great step towards securing American-based resources and reducing reliance on foreign imports for critical minerals.

American Antimony & Tungsten is also partnering with higher education to support workforce development and education assistance opportunities for students pursuing careers in engineering, mining, and mineral development.

Antimony is designated a critical mineral and is used for battery storage, advanced electronics, military purposes, and more. The planned facility for Cedar City utilizes a low-impact method of processing, intended to preserve water and the environment.

Congratulations to American Tungsten & Antimony on this great step towards U.S based mineral resources.
