Dewhirst-Catalina Library We're looking forward to seeing you! Our libraries welcome the 1 million+ readers, learners, doers, Dewhirst. She died at age 68.

The Dewhirst-Catalina Branch Library opened in 1989 and is named after Iris O. Dewhirst (1927-1995) served on the Pima County Board of Supervisors for one term, from 1984 to 1988, in District 1, representing the central Tucson and Foothills area. The Dewhirst-Catalina Library was the 15th branch library added to the Pima county Public Library system, and relocated to its current building in 1994.
