At the September town hall meeting, police were made aware that thefts have been occurring in our community. These claims have gone unreported, so we had no clue they were happening. In the event that you are a victim of said thefts, we encourage you to report these offenses by calling Conecuh County 911. The emergency number is 911. The non-emergency line is 251-578-5911.
If you don't report it, we can't do anything about it.

This picture was taken in our little town at a main intersection. I waited to post until the end of the investigation....yes we know who you are, and we're coming for you.
This behavior will not be tolerated in Castleberry, Al. Not only is it disrespectful, and reckless, it's illegal. Don't be surprised when you receive that invitation to come to court.

Friends, family, neighbors, and all citizens of this great nation...
Memorial Day is upon us. This is a day for us to remember all of our fallen soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen who did not make it back. Those are the veterans we honor on this day. Remember to stand for the flag, and kneel for the cross. And while kneeling at that cross, thank God for our military members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
This is not the day to thank me or my other living brothers and sisters in arms for our service.

To citizens of the Town of Castleberry.
As of 5/11/2026. You may resume to burning natural materials. Brush , leaves . Etc. Please as always you are encouraged to be safe while burning. Watch current wind speeds . Any land that needs to be burnt over 1/4 of a acre does require a burn permit from Alabama Forestry Commission. No rain in forecasted next 7 day . Alabama forestry may put restrictions in place during this time. Please be mindful of your neighbors and traffic while burning. Thanks.

Dry conditions remain for Alabama. While the state remains under red flag fire warning, the burn ban is still in effect for Castleberry. We'll keep you updated as the situation changes.

Even though we just experienced some rain, the state of Alabama is still under red flag conditions, and the burn ban is still in effect for Castleberry. Updates should be available next week and we'll post as conditions are available.
As a reminder, this ban DOES pertain to open fires, brush piles and the like.
It DOES NOT pertain to grills or small enclosed recreational fires.
