Although we are based in Castle Rock, CO, we also collect the history of Highlands Ranch, Parker, Lone Tree, and lots of other communities. Basically, if it's between Denver and Colorado Springs and it's old, we might know about it, and if you want to know, ask us.

The History of Greenland Ranch, a new exhibit this spring in the Sjostrom History Lounge at our Castle Rock location! Pop in to view interesting collection pieces on display, such as maps, deeds, and photos, and learn more about the ranch’s storied past and present.

This exhibit is part of a series presented in conjunction with the Sjostrom Family Fund, highlighting historic ranches that have become Douglas County open spaces.

Now that's a leap! And a pretty memorable one from the incomparable Evel Knievel, who jumped a line of vehicles at Continental Divide Raceways in Castle Rock in 1972. In celebration of World Bartender Day, this one's for you! 🍻 Cheers to the bespectacled bartender at the historic Trumbull Inn Bar in Trumbull, Colorado, circa 1940-1949. Check out ALH's Veterans History Project collection, which includes oral history interviews and photos like this one from Patricia Anne Ehline, who served in the Army Nurses Corps in Vietnam, 1966-1969. She's shown here (bottom-right) with fellow nurses and doctors during her service.
