CAUTION!!

FLASH FLOOD WARNING!
CITY OF CASTLE HILLS

The City of Castle Hills is currently under a Flash Flood Warning due to heavy rainfall and rapidly rising water levels. Residents should anticipate possible flooding in low-lying areas, roadways, creeks, and underpasses until 6 PM.

Safety guidance:
• Avoid unnecessary travel
• Do not drive through flooded roadways.
Turn Around, Don’t Drown
• Use caution near drainage areas and intersections prone to flooding
• Follow all posted road closures and directions from emergency personnel

Emergency crews are actively monitoring conditions and will respond as needed.

Please continue to monitor official city channels for updates. Stay alert and use caution.

This week was National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we want to recognize the voices behind the scenes here at Castle Hills who keep everything moving.

Our dispatchers are the first calm in the chaos. They take the calls no one else hears, carry the weight of someone else’s worst moment, and bring order to it with clarity and control. Before officers arrive, before the lights and sirens, there is a dispatcher making sense of the unknown and guiding the response. Here in Castle Hills, that voice on the other end of the radio is steady, professional, and trusted. It is work that often goes unseen, but it is never unimportant. It takes patience, resilience, and composure that most people will never fully understand.

To our Castle Hills dispatchers, we thank you for everything you do for this community and for those of us out on the road. We rely on you every day, and we appreciate you more than words can fully express.

EMERGENCY ALERTING SYSTEM DRILL!

The Texas Division of Emergency Management requested cities, counties, school districts, and river authorities to participate in a local alerting system drill on Thursday, April 2nd. After careful consideration, the Bexar County Office Emergency Management Agency has postponed their testing. Due to the limited notice provided, adequate coordination and full participation across partner agencies, which includes the City of Castle Hills, was not possible. Postponement will allow additional time to align resources, engage with partner agencies, and maximize the overall value of the drill.

These units are designed for rapid medical response, allowing our crews to navigate quickly and efficiently throughout the city when every second counts. Each motorcycle is fully equipped with top-of-the-line medical supplies, ensuring we can deliver immediate care and support to our community.
