Cassville American Legion Post 118 is proud to announce the Hometown Hero's Banner Program. Banners featuring our Hero's will be placed on light poles on the main roads in Cassville starting around the City Square.

Drop dead date to receive nominations is 19 May so that we can receive the banners by 19 June. This will allow time for the production and delivery of banners and planning of installation prior to the 4th of July celebration of our 250th year.

The cost of nomination has been set at $125 per banner.

Eligible candidates include active duty, retired, honorably discharged, and those who gave their life in action in one of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

There will be a method of recognition for recipients of the Medal of Honor, Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Cross's, Silver and Bronze Stars and those members who are Missing in Action or a Prisoner of War.

Proof of service will be required for nominations, apart from those nominations who can be vouched by a member of the American Legion Post 118.

For more information contact John Easley at [email protected].

Below is a sample of the banner which will be 18' x 36"
