EARLY GIVING STARTS TODAY! 🐾

Mohawk Valley Gives is here, and we need YOUR help! 💙

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue our mission of raising, training, and placing exceptional guide dogs with individuals who are blind or visually impaired, completely free of charge.

Our goal this year is $10,000, and with the support of our incredible community, we know we can get there!

Your donation helps support every step of the journey, from tiny puppies taking their first steps in our nursery, to puppy raisers preparing them for their futures, to formal training and ultimately that life-changing moment when a guide dog is matched with their person. 🦮

✨ Early Giving begins TODAY!
💙 Goal: $10,000
🐾 Every gift makes a difference.

Help us kick off Mohawk Valley Gives strong by making an early gift, sharing our fundraiser, and encouraging your friends and family to join you.

Together, we can help create more partnerships, more independence, and more freedom.

Donate today and help us reach our goal! 💙🐾

Today, Freedom Guide Dogs pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, working dogs, and countless heroes who answered the call with extraordinary courage.

We will never forget the lives taken, the families forever changed, or the bravery and unity shown in the days that followed.

In remembrance. In honor. Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

🌎❤️ Today is International Day of Charity! 🐾

At Freedom Guide Dogs, charity means so much more than giving. It means changing lives, creating independence, and providing another pair of eyes to those who cannot see.

Every guide dog we place is provided at no cost to the recipient, and that is only possible because of the generosity of people who believe in our mission.

From the puppies born in our nursery, to the dedicated volunteers who raise them, to the months of specialized training that prepare them for their future careers, every step of their journey is made possible through charitable support.

On this International Day of Charity, we celebrate the donors, volunteers, puppy raisers, supporters, and friends who make our mission possible. Because of you, a puppy can grow up to become something extraordinary: freedom, independence, confidence, and companionship for someone who is blind or visually impaired. 🦮❤️

Today, consider celebrating International Day of Charity by supporting a cause that means something to you. If that cause is Freedom Guide Dogs, know that your generosity helps us continue changing lives, one guide dog team at a time.

September is National Guide Dog Month 🦮💙

Much like a lighthouse serves as a beacon, helping sailors navigate their way safely, a guide dog provides direction, confidence, and a trusted path forward for a person who is blind or visually impaired.

A lighthouse does not choose the sailor’s destination. It simply helps illuminate the way. In much the same way, a guide dog does not decide where their handler is going. The handler gives the direction, and together, they navigate the journey safely as a team.

Throughout National Guide Dog Month, we celebrate the extraordinary dogs who dedicate their lives to guiding, the people who place their trust in them, and the incredible partnership that makes greater independence possible.

Two partners. One destination. A world of possibilities.
