Hello everyone, I’m Manny! I’m a unique looking dog with a big personality. I was found camping in the woods on Mann St. but I’m looking for a new place to call home. I’m a chow mix that loves to sunbathe, soaking up the summer rays. I’m happiest when I get lots of scratches, snacking on my favorite treats, or just lounging around. I have a small hitch in my step but this happy go lucky boy doesn’t let that slow me down.

I spent a lot of time alone at first, not sure who to trust. I was covered in ticks and scratches from trying to go it solo for so long. When I needed help the most, the nice people at Cass County Animal Control helped me come out of my shell. They cleaned me up and gave me a nice place to stay until I find my forever family. Since then, I’ve been able to let my true colors shine.

I would love it if you came to visit me, take me for walks, and possibly take me home! My adoption fee is waived but I still need to be neutered. For the low price of $25 I could be your new best friend.

Treasurer-Cass County Michigan Hope Anderson will be at this event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, alongside many other individuals providing resources to Cass County residents. The event is free and open to the public.

Cass County is accepting applications for a number of positions across several departments and offices. Some highlights:

Prosecutor's Office:
Though an interim prosecutor has been appointed, Circuit Court Judge Mark Herman continues to accept applications for a more permanent appointment as Interim Prosecutor Scoggin adjusts to the role and she and Judge Herman agree it is a strong long-term solution. Interim Prosecutor Scoggin continues to accept applications for assistant prosecuting attorneys.

Equalization:
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping, local government, and/or data entry experience who is willing to learn about property taxes.

IT:
This is a great opportunity for individuals educated in Computer Information Systems or related fields.

Sheriff's Office:
New! The Sheriff's Office has an opening for a Corrections Officer. Prior law enforcement experience is not required, but applicants must pass an agility test and a written test.
