🔨 Another Season of Helping Complete! 💛

Our amazing Handy Helpers wrapped up their final ramp of the season — bringing freedom, safety, and peace of mind to another Cass County neighbor.

Since the program began, this hardworking volunteer crew has built hundreds of ramps for local seniors, helping them stay safe and independent at home.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up, worked hard, and made a difference all year long. You truly are the heart of the COA!

Two of our Medical Transport Drivers had the honor of attending a Quilt of Valor ceremony for one of our longtime Med Trans clients, Larry Johnson, at The Timbers in Dowagiac. Larry is a proud veteran who has faced numerous medical challenges in recent years and is currently on the road to recovery at the skilled nursing facility.
His wife, Deb, has been his devoted caregiver every step of the way—and let us just say, she is truly an amazing person.
A huge thank you to our incredible volunteer driver, Jennifer Ray, for nominating Larry for this recognition and for always going the extra mile for our clients.
It was a beautiful moment to recognize Larry’s service, strength, and resilience.

Today, the Cass County COA proudly honors all who have served our country. This morning, we gathered at our flagpole for a special ceremony led by local veterans, sharing a moment of respect and gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice.

To our veterans and their families—thank you for your service and the freedoms we cherish daily. Your bravery and commitment are deeply appreciated today and always.

A Great Big THANK YOU to Club Car Wash! They just moved to the Valley and are offering a carwash for $1.00 as part of the grand opening from Feb 23, 2023- March 5, 2023, with all proceeds benefitting Capable Kids!

We only get proceeds from the $1.00 washes - we do not get any proceeds from memberships. If you do not get the $1.00 carwash, no proceeds come to CK for that wash.
Please share with anyone looking for a car wash!
