Summer Health and Meals — All in One Stop! 🩺🍎

We are thrilled to partner with Sandhills Medical this summer to bring quality healthcare directly to our community, right alongside our Summer Meals program! While you're stopping by to grab summer meals, you can also take care of your family’s healthcare needs.

Starting this week at Blaney Elementary School! We plan to add this service at Camden High and North Central Middle soon! 📍
📌 When: Mondays and Wednesdays
📌 Time: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
📌 Where: Blaney Elementary School
📌 Who: Walk-ins are WELCOME! 👋

Available Services:
📌 School and Sports Physicals
📌 Routine Check-Ups and General Wellness
📌 Acute Care Visits

2026 Summer Meal Program Schedule 🍽️

Also, don't forget, in partnership with the United Way of Kershaw County, our Summer Meals program will continue to run from June 1 through July 17, 2026, Monday – Thursday each week (all locations will be closed on Thursday, July 2.)

Children aged 18 and under (who are not enrolled in another program) may eat directly in the school cafeterias during the following daily mealtimes:
📌 Breakfast Service: 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
📌 Lunch Service:: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
📌 Breakfast and lunch will be served daily at all sites.

Participating Cafeteria Locations:
📌 Blaney Elementary School: 1621 Smyrna Rd., Elgin, SC
📌 Camden High School: 1022 Ehrenclou Dr., Camden, SC
📌 North Central Middle School: 805 Keys Ln., Kershaw, SC

Giveaway alert: The first fifteen families to visit KCL Bethune will win a free copy of Peter Brown's The Wild Robot to keep. Branch hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 AM - 2 PM & 3 PM - 6 PM; Wednesdays and Saturdays 10 AM - 2 PM. Offer only available at KCL Bethune, while supplies last. Limit one copy per family. 🎉💙 Today we’re celebrating Mrs. Koumas on Her Retirement! 💙🎉

After an incredible 30 years at Midway Elementary, we are celebrating the retirement of a truly special member of our Bobcat family—Mrs. Koumas!

Throughout the years, Mrs. Koumas has worn many hats, serving as both a 4K and Kindergarten Assistant while helping keep countless things running smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it was organizing, lending a helping hand wherever needed, or brightening our day with her sense of humor, she was always someone we could count on.

Mrs. Koumas has touched the lives of so many students with her kindness, patience, and love. She has a special way of making children feel seen, supported, and cared for, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

Please join us in thanking Mrs. Koumas for 30 years of service and wishing her a retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and all the adventures she deserves! 💙🐾

Today we celebrate one of Midway’s very own, Mrs. Mary Williams! ❤️🐾

Over the years, Mrs. Williams has worn many hats at Midway — from bus driver, to computer lab, to classroom assistant — and through every role, she has loved and supported our Bobcats in countless ways.

While we’re officially celebrating her retirement, we’re also excited because this isn’t really goodbye! 🎉 Mrs. Williams will be returning after summer break as a working retiree, and we couldn’t be happier about that!

For now, we hope she enjoys every minute of a well-deserved summer filled with rest, fun, and celebration. Thank you, Mrs. Williams, for the many years of dedication, love, and service to Midway Elementary.

Summer Reading Starts Today!
All ages are invited to read to win. Kids in grades 4K to 5th grade will read 10 to win. Grades 6th grade to 8th will strive for 5. Teens read 3 and adults will also read 3 to win. Kids win a free book to keep, teens win a ticket to the Camden Little Theater, and adults win a Summer Scribes tote bag. Today we celebrated the hard work, growth, and achievements of our amazing 1st–4th grade Bobcats at Awards Day! 💙💛🐾

We are so proud of each student for their dedication, kindness, perseverance, and all they’ve accomplished this school year. Watching our Bobcats lead, learn, and grow in all that they do has been such a joy!

Congratulations to all of our award recipients and to EVERY Bobcat for making this year so special! 🎉
