Last night we treated ourselves to a nice dinner out and dropped about $150 on steaks.
Tonight, we grilled up a couple of our own T-bones. Not because we planned a fancy supper, but because the package had a broken seal and couldn't go in the sale freezer.
Folks...
I had almost forgotten what really good beef tastes like.
And now I completely understand why you people keep cleaning out our steak inventory every time we restock it.
I don't mean to sound biased, but if I was blindfolded and had to pick between the two, I'd be asking for seconds of the Peaceful Valley steak and wondering where the other one came from.
Kevin and I looked at each other halfway through supper and basically had the same thought:
"Well... I guess the customers have been right all along."
So, good news! Later this week we'll be restocking all steak cuts, bringing back our beef wieners, and our snack sticks will finally be back in stock. (If you've been asking about snack sticks every week, your persistence is about to pay off.)
We're also switching many of our steaks to one steak per package. That way you can grab a steak for supper without committing to feeding an army.
Turns out we should probably eat our own beef more often. We spend so much time raising it, feeding it, and selling it that we forgot just how darn good it is.
