Listen, we get it. You hear the sirens, and suddenly you’re a professional athlete vaulting over the ottoman to get to the front window. 🕵️‍♂️ Why strain a muscle being the neighborhood lookout when you can do it from your phone?

Download PulsePoint. It’s the official way to see our active calls. When we get a call for a cardiac arrest in a public place, the app alerts nearby citizens who are CPR-trained. It even points you to the closest AED.

You could be the reason someone goes home to their family—all because you had an app on your phone. 🚑✨

Posting your address is really important for First Responders to find your home. Please read the information below from Valley County.

Please post your address numbers at your driveway and your house!
If you call for help, you want emergency services (ambulance, fire trucks, and Sheriff vehicles) to show up as quick as possible. Properly marking your house helps that to happen and keeps people from driving up the wrong driveway. Packages from UPS and FedEx are delivered much easier if the driver can find your address.

FREE SMOKE DETECTORS FOR KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

It is not uncommon for a child with special needs, especially intellectual challenges, to be afraid of loud noises. This includes the sound emitted by an activated smoke detector. For these families, fire prevention specialists recommend that the families acquire voice-alert smoke detectors. The voice-alert smoke detector replaces the “scary” noise with a calming voice that provides instructions regarding the smoke detectors alert.

Courageous Kids Climbing has received special funding to purchase these voice-alert smoke detectors and provided them free of charge to affected families. The smoke detectors are available to families in New Meadows and throughout Valley County. These smoke detectors have been purchased at a reduced price thanks to the support of Franklin Building Supply in McCall.

Families interested in obtaining the voice-alert smoke detectors should contact Jeff Riechmann at Courageous Kids Climbing. Jeff can be contacted at [email protected].
