Summer is endless when you spend it with your community! 🎇

Our 4th of July Celebration is just around the corner and you don’t want to miss this ultimate summer party. From live music and local food trucks, to a thrilling BMX performance there will be something for everyone. Be sure to come right at 7:00 PM to experience our Kidchella music festival zone with a live DJ, crafts, games, and interactive activities designed especially for kids.

Somehow we always end up back at Palm Island 🤭

Don’t miss out on all the fun programs available at Palm Island Family Aquatic Park!

Join us for Sensory Splash Sundays, every Sunday starting June 7th through July 5th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. These early hours are designed specifically for children and adults with sensory processing needs.

Also, be sure to check out Poolside Tales, where families can enjoy fun, engaging stories right from the pool deck during open swim. Poolside Tales begin this Monday, June 8th and will occur again on June 22nd, July 6th, & July 13th from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM. Pick up your Poolside Tales punch card at the Main Public Library or the Vista Grande Library. Your punch card grants you free pool entry during story time dates.

The 2026 Summer Reading Program kicks off Monday, June 1st at the Palm Island Family Aquatic Park! Join us for a summer packed with free weekly prizes, exciting programs, and a free book from the Book Fair.

Big updates are waiting for you at Palm Island! 🌊

We’ve been busy making some amazing reinvestments into the park, including a stunning mural by Kenneth Nlawie, fresh window graphics, new decking, and upgraded pool gutters to keep things clean all summer long.

These upgrades are built to protect and maintain Palm Island for several years!

This past Saturday, we celebrated the unveiling of the new mural at Palm Island Family Aquatic Center alongside community members, city staff, and artist Kenneth Nlawie. 🎨

It was incredible to see everyone come together to admire this beautiful new addition to the pool and hear about the impact this project will have. Guests also learned about recent projects and improvements helping maintain and enhance the pool, while Kenneth shared insight into the inspiration and creative process behind the mural.

Thank you to all the community members who joined us for the unveiling, to the City and Palm Island staff for their continued dedication to the success of the park, and most importantly to Kenneth for bringing this meaningful artwork to life.

Reeling in the memories from Saturday’s Catfish Rodeo! 🐟✨

There’s nothing like seeing the community come together for one of our city’s oldest and most beloved traditions. Congratulations to all those who won an award for their catch. Thank you to everyone that came to fish and to the amazing staff for making it a weekend to remember! 🎣

UPLIFT makes strength fitness fun! This is a high energy class that combines iconic music with routines that target one muscle group at a time. UPLIFT uses hand weights, bands, mini ball, and mat work.
