🚧 Road preservation work is underway across Casa Grande!
Crews are completing pavement preservation on nearly 16 miles of roadway, including the Camino Mercado Corridor, portions of Colorado Street, Pottebaum Avenue, Cottonwood Lane, and Jimmie Kerr Boulevard.

Funded through the City’s Pavement Preservation Program, these improvements help extend the life of our streets and provide a smoother, safer ride for everyone.

CGAlerts: Emergency Road Closure Due to Power Outage

Motorists are advised that northbound Trekell Road between Kortsen Road and Racine Place is closed until further notice due to an emergency power outage requiring transformer repairs by Electrical District No. 2 (ED2).

ED2 has restored temporary power service to some affected residents; however, a limited number of residents and businesses remain without power. ED2 is working to notify those customers and provide status updates as repairs continue.

Once ED2 completes the transformer repairs, Arizona Public Service (APS) crews will begin replacing underground power lines and restoring permanent service to APS customers in the area.

Heavy equipment and utility crews will be working throughout the closure zone to complete the necessary repairs safely and efficiently. Drivers are asked to slow down, use caution, and follow posted detour signs when traveling near the work area.

The roadway closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 24 hours.

To receive citywide traffic alerts and emergency notifications, sign up for CGAlerts at CasaGrandeAZ.gov/CGAlerts.
