"Monday, January 5, 2015 is the deadline to submit applications for the Native Youth Leaders: Revitalizing & Embracing Wellness Through Food, scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity for targeted youth leaders between the ages of 16-25 years old to come together to network, share ideas, learn what others are doing, and lastly gain a support system from other youth who are striving to make a difference as well.
As a reminder, participants will be chosen based on their applications and essays submitted. For chosen participants there is a registration and scholarship, courtesy of the Notah Begay III Foundation and Ogallala Commons. The scholarship consists of a registration waiver, continental breakfast, and lunch. For participants who are traveling more than 50 miles in one direction we will offer one night stay at the Holiday Inn Express for the night of Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Due to limited funding, youth will share a room with one other student from their organization. All other costs are participant’s responsibility."
