Cruise Night Canceled for Tonight

After consulting with the Village of Cary and Village of Cary Public Works and reviewing the latest weather update, Cruise Night scheduled for tonight has been canceled out of an abundance of caution.

Although the sun is shining now, the forecast shows that conditions are ripe for strong storms later today. The forecast calls for partly cloudy, very warm and humid conditions, with more clouds moving into the region by mid to late afternoon. There is a 60% chance of occasional showers and thunderstorms after 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. through about 6:30 p.m., with another round possible from 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. Heavy rain and gusty winds are also possible.

It is always a difficult decision to postpone, but the safety of attendees, car owners, volunteers, and the community is the top priority.

Chevy Night, originally scheduled for tonight, will now take place next Wednesday, June 17, and will be combined with Import Night. The Leo’s 121 on Main Ribbon Cutting will also take place that evening at 6:30 p.m.

Thank you for understanding, and Cruise Night will see you next week.
