🌽🥕🍅 Dan Pike, Board President of the Cary Farmers Market shared an overview of the market and the many ways it strengthens our community. From supporting local farmers and vendors to helping neighbors facing food insecurity, the Cary Farmers Market is making a meaningful impact right here in town.

One especially fun program is Eat-A-Rainbow, which encourages kids to choose healthy foods by exploring fruits and vegetables in every color of the rainbow. It’s a creative way to make healthy eating exciting for children and families!

The market also provides an important economic boost for local vendors and the broader Cary community. You can find the Cary Farmers Market at 160 E. Park St. in downtown Cary on Saturdays—come check it out, support local, and enjoy everything from yummy healthy foods to baked good treats and even meats.

Shout out to PDG Steve for providing such an engaging speaker and a very interesting presentation!

At District Governor Pat’s official visit to the Rotary Club of Cary Central, he encouraged us to “roll up our sleeves” and “create lasting impact.”

Cary Central is proud to be home to three Past District Governors. Two of them were in attendance today and posed with DG Pat, and President Sherry also joined DG Pat for a photo celebrating our club’s commitment to service and leadership.

A great day for Cary Central Rotary — and an inspiring reminder of the difference we make together.

🎉 Happy Rotary New Member Month! 🎉
August is all about growing our family of service, and our very own PDG/Membership Chair Russell recently shared some fantastic insights on how we can expand our impact in our community by inviting others to join Rotary.

Russell reminded us to look around at the people we interact with every single day. Growth starts by simply looking at our everyday circles!

And when inviting someone, it helps to keep your "why" clear and compelling.....

I love being part of the Rotary Club of Cary Central because we don't just talk about helping our community—we roll up our sleeves and actually do it. Whether it's helping kids learn to read at Kingswood Elementary School or sponsoring a cataract surgery project in India, we make a tangible difference."

How will you create lasting impact?

DG Pat challenged every Rotarian in District 7710 to answer that one simple question in 25 words or less.

Cary Central Rotarians responded with enthusiasm, heart, and purpose — each documenting their own commitment for lasting impact.

District 7710 will assemble these powerful reflections into a commemorative book to present to Rotary International President Olayinka H. Babalola, showcasing how Rotarians across our district are answering his call to “Create Lasting Impact”.

The Rotary Club of Cary Central’s first meeting under the new theme, "Create Lasting Impact," was absolutely bursting with energy and excitement.

Here are a few highlights from a fun-filled meeting:

• Ringing it In: Our new President, Sherry, enthusiastically rang the bell to officially get our year underway!
• The "Impossible Raffle": With our usual Master of the Raffle, Buck, away, Immediate Past President Gordon stepped up to handle the raffle drawing and supposedly put the winning card in the deck. While Gordon is thoroughly enjoying not being club president anymore, he was happy to do the honors! He had President Sherry pull the winning ticket, giving Jim the chance to draw the lucky card—but true to its name, it proved impossible to win. Better luck next time, Jim!

Beyond the laughs, we also dove into some great planning for the upcoming year. There is so much positive energy in the club right now, and we can't wait to see the lasting impact we will create together in our community and around the world!

Come join the Cary Central Rotary Meeting on Monday, July 6 for great networking, awesome community vibes, a yummy breakfast including BACON and our infamous raffle!

Here’s how the raffle works:
Buy a ticket for just $1. There are red tickets, blue tickets, and white tickets. Buy as many as you like.
If your ticket is drawn, you get a chance at pulling the winning card from the deck.
Plot twist: Rarely does anyone win. 🤷‍♂️

We were starting to think Buck doesn’t really put the winning card in the deck - but he showed us he did. Question is.....will it be in the deck on Monday??

Jokes aside, every single dollar raised goes directly toward doing incredible good in our local Cary community and around the world. We have a ton of fun, share plenty of laughs, and make a real impact.

A great day for golf, comradery, and fun!!

Thanks to all players, volunteers, and sponsors who came out to support the Boyce Brown Charity Golf Outing presented by the Rotary Club of Cary Central at Bentwinds Country Club today.

Together we are able to make a positive impact through college scholarships and projects in our local community and around the world.
