What an absolute rollercoaster of emotions the last few days have been.

As the final bell rings and the quiet settles into the hallways, I’m always hit with that familiar, beautiful, and bittersweet feeling. The last day of school never fails to pull at the heartstrings.

Watching our students pack up their desks, exchange hugs, and head out the doors for summer is such a proud moment, but it’s always a little tough to say goodbye. Over the course of the year, these kids truly become like family to me. Seeing them grow, overcome challenges, and discover who they are is the absolute best part of my job.

To our students: I am so incredibly proud of your hard work, your resilience, and the kindness you've shown one another this year.

To our amazing staff and supportive families: Thank you for your unwavering partnership. We couldn't do this without you.

I truly feel beyond blessed to do what I do every single day. Wishing all of our families a safe, happy, and well-deserved summer break! ☀️📚✨

Best Wishes,
Mr. I

CLASS OF 2026 SENIOR WALK

Today, our hearts are completely overflowing. Watching Alvina’s Class of 2022 step forward to become the high school Class of 2026 was a moment of pure magic, and to say the emotions ran high would be an understatement. There were tears, there was laughter, and above all, there was an overwhelming sense of awe.

It feels like just yesterday they were filling our hallways with their bright smiles and boundless energy. Today, we looked out and saw the incredible, inspiring young men and women they have grown into.

Watching you all pursue your dreams with such passion and courage fills the very soul of this Alvina School community. We could not possibly be prouder of the people you are and the futures you are building.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! You will always have a home here, and we will always be cheering you on. 🎓✨

Our 4th graders wrapped up their study of the American Revolution with a day of colonial fun! After learning about the events from the French and Indian War to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, students wrote "break-up letters" to King George III, played colonial games like Jacks, Graces, Marbles, and Cat's Cradle, and competed in trivia. It was a fun way to celebrate their learning and the upcoming Independence Day holiday!

Our 3rd grade class hosted their Marketplace today! 💵 All week students focused on creating a business plan to make and sell one type of item, price it based on labor and materials, and create a logo, menu and store front signage. Every item sold was 100% student made using 100% recycled materials found in our classroom.

This was a great way to wrap up our curriculum because it covered producers and consumers, budgeting, making change, speaking and listening skills, supply and demand, recycling, reducing waste, product design, problem solving and more! So proud of our creative, innovative, and eco-friendly entrepreneurs (most of them sold out too!)🛍️♻️
