🩷 Thank You Thursday
Yesterday, NCDPI released accountability results from the 2025-2026 school year, and today, we want to recognize the people behind those results. Among this year’s highlights, grade-level proficiency reached a 10-year high, our four-year graduation rate reached 91.8 percent and continued to surpass the state average, and, for the first time, two MCS schools earned A performance grades, with Pinehurst Elementary earning the distinction for the fourth consecutive year and Moore Innovative High School earning the distinction in its inaugural year.
🎓 Thank you to our students for working hard, challenging yourselves and putting in the effort each day to learn and grow.
🍎 Thank you to our teachers and all MCS employees for the many ways you engage, inspire and support our students each and every day.
🏠 Thank you to our parents and guardians for ensuring students are present, prepared and supported throughout the school year.
🤝 Thank you to our community for supporting our students and schools in countless ways, from volunteering and donating supplies to supporting athletics, the arts and many other programs and activities that enrich our students’ educational experience.
These results reflect the hard work, dedication and support of people throughout Moore County. Every lesson taught, every assignment completed, every encouraging word and every act of support contributes to the success of our students.
Thank you, Team MCS! We are proud of what we accomplished together and excited to continue that momentum throughout the 2026-2027 school year!
