When creativity, a passion for autumn and celebrating Halloween meet — out of it comes several weeks of Halloween decorations and displays around the Benedetto Home. This year we decided that we would extend our decorations and displays along our driveway and away from our home to create a short (10-15 minute) family friendly Halloween Walk for others to come to experience and enjoy. We are now posting hours just for this week with hours next week TBD up till Halloween.
Some of the displays and monsters you will be able to view at “Carterville Manor” include a Creepy Clown Display, the Skeleton Bros., a Torture Chamber, the Witches Lair along and several others. Our displays are not about blood or gore, there are no live actors involved, there are some low key animatronics and visual effects.
• We are offering no concessions or sales.
• All state regulations for COVID safety apply to all visitors at Carterville Manor.
History: Halloween has always been a love of mine, a perfect outlet for creativity and my family has also found their own niches of passion for Halloween through helping me over the years. Our home and property location is considered a central hub in the Amboy Area that in the 1800’s was known as Carterville and was the location of a Stagecoach Inn/Hotel hence the birth of the name of our spooky walk “Carterville Manor.”
Thanks: I want to thank my family for their support and patience as my plans have unfolded these past several weeks. I especially want to thank my son Eric for his ongoing enthusiasm, creativity and help in pulling most of the displays together. And also a special thanks to my husband Thom for all his support, efforts and especially his expertise with the electricity for lighting. I think we’re in a good place with “Carterville Manor Spooky Walk” and I’m ready to share.🎃
