Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services Press Release

On September 11th 2026, at approximately 4:56 a.m., Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to a reported structure fire located at 5667 Groovers Landing Road SE in Acworth. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy fire coming from two storage buildings.

Crews quickly initiated fire suppression efforts. Once the fire was brought under control, personnel remained on scene to perform overhaul operations and check for any hidden fire extension. The storage buildings were a total loss.

Fire investigators were requested to the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire. At this time, the cause remains under investigation.

When an emergency happens, it can be hard to think clearly. Knowing what information to give our telecommunicators can help get the right help to you as quickly as possible.

When you call 911, be ready to tell us:

📍 WHERE you are — your location is one of the most important things we need to know.

🚨 WHAT happened — tell us what is happening and what type of emergency you’re experiencing.

👤 WHO needs help — tell us how many people are involved and whether anyone is injured or in danger.

And remember: Stay on the line and answer the telecommunicator’s questions. They’re asking questions because they’re already working to get help moving your way.
