The case is officially underway! 🔎🎄

Meet the cast of Just in the Nick of Time, bringing our North Pole mystery to life this holiday season. We can’t wait to see this crew follow the clues, find the missing Christmas spirit, and bring a little holiday magic to the Legion Theatre.

Calling all spooky, strange, funny, musical, magical, and wonderfully weird performers. 🎃🎙️

Macabaret is looking for variety acts to help us kick off spooky season with a live Halloween radio-style show full of stories, songs, comedy, poetry, magic, and whatever else you might bring to the stage.

Auditions are September 18 from 7–9 PM and September 19 from 12–3 PM at the Historic Legion Theatre. Performers 16+ are welcome, including solo acts, duos, and groups. Originals, covers, and unique acts are all encouraged. Come show us what you’ve got!

If you were captivated by last year’s The Turn of the Screw, you’ll want to see what director Bob Whaley has in store for the Legion Theatre this October.

Pumphouse Players’ next production is Frankenstein: The Monster Play — Mary Shelley’s timeless story of ambition, creation, abandonment, and the question of what truly makes a monster.

Following the technically stunning, Pumpie Award-winning The Turn of the Screw, Bob returns with another gothic classic steeped in atmosphere, tension, and the darker corners of human nature.

Ever watched an improv show and thought, “That looks fun… but I have absolutely no idea how they do it?” 👀

Come find out!

Becoming Unscripted is a three-part adult improv workshop series led by Mike Davis and Alex Autrey, designed to help you build confidence, trust your instincts, create memorable characters, and become a stronger scene partner—all through hands-on games and scene work.

🎭 Workshop 1: Sept. 13 at 1 PM
🎭 Workshop 2: Jan. 10 at 1 PM
🎭 Workshop 3: Mar. 14 at 1 PM
🎉 Showcase: June 5 at 8 PM

Registration is $60 for the full series and showcase, and space is limited to just 10 participants so everyone gets plenty of time to play.

September 13, 2026: NEW! Improv Comedy Workshop for Adults!
A three-part improv workshop series designed to build confidence, develop characters, strengthen scene partnerships, and get you ready to take the stage.

September 18 & 19, 2026: NEW! Auditions for Macabaret: Scary Stories to Tell at the Legion
Audition for Macabaret September 18–19 and show us your spooky, funny, musical, magical, or wonderfully weird act! Performers ages 16+ are welcome to bring original works, covers, solo or group performances, and unique acts of all kinds.

September 25, 2026: Pumphouse Unscripted Live Improv Comedy
Pumphouse Unscripted is back with another night of live improv comedy, where you provide the suggestions and we make increasingly questionable decisions about what to do with them.

Thinking about auditioning but not sure what to expect? Come give it a try! 🎭

Auditions for Just in the Nick of Time are TODAY, Monday, August 31 and TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 1 at 7:30 PM, with roles available for both youth and adults.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. That means we’ll provide the material when you arrive, and you’ll read scenes with other auditioners. There’s nothing to memorize or prepare ahead of time.

Performers of all experience levels are encouraged to audition, including complete beginners. You can register in advance to let us know you’re coming, but walk-ins are absolutely welcome.

Come meet some people, read a few scenes, and see what community theatre at Pumphouse is all about. 💜

Fights have been fought, hearts have been bruised, and things in Illyria have gotten a little... complicated. Sounds like a good excuse to spend Friday night laughing about someone else’s chaos instead.
