Cartersville Garden Club

Cartersville Garden Club Cartersville, Virginia Garden Club We aim to improve ongoing projects and explore new opportunities for continued growth in the community.

Over the years, the Cartersville Garden Club has implemented many projects: landscape design and funding of plantings at the Cartersville Volunteer Rescue Squad and Community Center buildings; Blue Star Memorial Highway and town signs; Nature Camp sponsorship for two teenagers; Funding for Youth Projects and Inspiration Garden at Cumberland County Schools; and Meals on Wheels arrangements, to name

a few. As an organization, we are committed to helping others and like to have fun, too! We enjoy fellowship through a variety of additional activities including monthly meetings, an annual garden field trip, Christmas and Spring luncheons, "Cakes for the Holidays" fundraiser, and other engaging programs. Our roster is comprised of over 25 active members, and we look forward to meeting and adding more members to the club this year! Contact us through facebook or email or attend one of our meetings to learn more.

Thursday we had a great meeting hosted by Sandi Moore and Dottie Holian. Our guest was Rodney Perry, a former member, who provided all the materials, some champagne and wonderful expertise to enable each of us to create some fantastic centerpieces. A delicious offering of a broccoli cheddar soup and hors d’oeuvres rounded out the event. Thank you to all!!
