100 years ago, Carteret High School celebrated its first graduating class with guest speaker then NJ Governor A. Harry Moore. A proud accomplishment for graduates, parents, staff and the Borough of Carteret! This article is from the Perth Amboy Evening News. (A much larger article appears in the June 18, 1926, edition of the Carteret Press found in the local history digital newspapers at Woodbridge Library.)

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

In this recent acquisition, this amazing aerial view of US Metals, dated 1949 shows the expansive plant site that occupied the waterfront. Chrome Ave., housing built for US Metals executives is mid picture on the left. Many thanks to the anonymous donor (from 08816) for this, the 1917 US Metals photo book, and 5-year pin. The Committee appreciates your donation to our archive!
