This is what our Playworks program is all about! ❤️ On graduation day at Independence Elementary School, a teacher captured this beautiful moment of 5th graders giving Playworks recess coaches one last hug goodbye. It’s amazing to witness teachers who value our program and coaches! 🫶

Our team at Independence Elementary School made incredible strides by implementing Students’ Voice and Choice, where kids take initiative in organizing their own recess programs! This year alone, our Junior Coach squad has tripled from 6 Club kids to 18!

Major shout out to Coach Eddie and Coach Jazmin for the tireless work in structuring recess and building rapport with both members and school staff. Thank you to our BGCC staff for making kids’ lives brighter every day!

THANK YOU Raymond James Cares! 💚 Our young explorers were so excited to welcome our Raymond James partners who led them on a STEM scavenger hunt expedition through Carson Park.

Equipped with their handy Explorer kits (provided by Raymond James), our Club kids got hands-on experience with the world of birds, bugs, and everything in between. 🦋🐛🔍

During Raymond James Cares Month, our partners at Raymond James Beverly Hills invested in our Club kids' futures by sharing what they do best: financial literacy. 💸

This May, the Raymond James team and our BGCC board members visited three elementary school sites to teach students valuable life lessons through a children's finance book written by a Raymond James employee.

Every participating student also received a free bookbag, journal, and financial literacy packet, giving them the tools to prepare for the future. Thank you Raymond James !💫

A huge thank you to the City of Carson and the Los Angeles County Fire Department for visiting our Clubhouse and bringing fire safety education to our youth last Friday! 🚒🔥

Club kids had the opportunity to learn life-saving fire prevention tips through an interactive assembly, explore a real fire truck and equipment demonstration, and connect with local firefighters in a fun and engaging way. We’re so grateful for partnerships that help keep our youth and families informed, safe, and inspired.
