Be advised that the City of Carson City Sirens will be going off with this drill. We will notify everyone is there is a change to this, in case of severe weather that day.

The regularly scheduled testing of the Emergency Sirens by Montcalm County Central Dispatch will start in April on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 11am, instead of on Fridays.

We will be participating in the Statewide Tornado Drill on March 18th @ 1pm unless we experience severe weather conditions that day.

We want to thank all the community members who came out yesterday to support putting two new apparatus's into service! We did find some new safety lockouts are in place in the new engine so it can't be moved in neutral, even with the brakes off! LOL
Engine #243 and Brush #262 are in service and ready to respond!

We are having a "Push In" ceremony this Saturday (21st of February) for our new engine and brush truck. The Community is invited to attend at 9am at the Carson City Fire Department. Hope to see you there! The "Push In" is tradition for placing a new apparatus into service for the fire department.

Just got a free moment to post a couple of photo's of our 9/11 Memorial from 8:46 until 9:03 last Wednesday morning. We are planning on a bigger ceremony with the public invited, in two years for the 25th Anniversary. We will keep you posted on its progression.

We are hosting a Toy's for Tot's event this coming Saturday the 29th from 1-3 pm. Santa will be here at the Station and we will have Fire trucks on display for the kids as well!

The City of Carson City would like to thank Tri-County Electric for the donation and installation of the wood pole, Gage Electric for the wiring work and Tom Hammond from Hammond Wholesale for allowing the old siren to remain active until the project was completed. Thank you all for supporting this improvement to our Community!

The City will be testing the new Tornado Siren this afternoon around 2:30pm. There will be a couple of different tests as we have to test manual and radio control from Montcalm County Central Dispatch. Thanks for your understanding and there is no cause for alarm! Chief Crawfis
