Congratulations to Elko County School District on receiving an OSIT grant to launch its Media Specialists Drone Initiative! 𖥂 We're excited to support engaging computer science learning that prepares Nevada students with the skills they'll need for the future. 💻⚙️ https://www.osit.nv.gov/

We're excited to announce that Elko County School District has been awarded $94,282 through the Nevada Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (OSIT) to launch our Media Specialists Drone Initiative!🚁 ✈️

Beginning next school year, all 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-graders will have the opportunity to explore computer science through hands-on drone technology during the school day—building coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while having a whole lot of fun.

This innovative program is helping prepare our students for the future, one flight at a time.

Started in 2011, the annual Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival has quickly become the largest educational event in Nevada. The Festival draws more than 40,000 participants over nine jam-packed days of FREE events all across the Las Vegas Valley.
