Last week, the Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy had the opportunity to tour Redwood Materials’ facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center and see firsthand the groundbreaking work taking place in battery materials, recycling, and second-life energy storage.

Thank you to Manny Becerra for coordinating the tours, and to Don Tatro, Adam Kirby, and Tricia Dutcher for their hospitality and valuable insights.

Nevada is proud to be home to innovators like Redwood Materials, who are helping power America’s energy future.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and continue advancing energy-efficient practices across Nevada.

The Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy has released its 2023–2026 Executive Summary highlighting historic federal investment, expanded energy efficiency programs, and major steps to strengthen grid resilience across Nevada. Under the leadership of Director Dwayne McClinton, GOE secured more than $131M in federal funding to support workforce development, consumer savings, and long-term energy reliability. ⚡📊

The Governor’s Office of Energy had the privilege of participating in JAG Nevada’s Mock Interview event, connecting directly with Nevada’s future workforce.

Engaging with these talented young leaders was truly inspiring. Their curiosity, professionalism, and ambition reflect the strength of Nevada’s next generation.

It was also great to see the Northern Nevada Electrical Training Center participating. Their involvement underscores the rapid growth and workforce demand across Nevada’s evolving energy landscape.

With Nevada’s youth stepping forward, the future of energy in Nevada is bright.
